Volunteers from the Church of the Nazarene help Grass Growers of Baker City spray seed and fertilizer onto the churchs new soccer/softball field Saturday afternoon on 20th Street in La Grande. Posts for a backstop and irrigation have already been installed, and seeding was the final task for this fall, field organizer Rick Stanton said. The field should be ready by spring, Stanton said.
