MILTON-FREEWATER — With a fifty-fifty chance, La Grande came out on top. The Tigers girls golf team navigated a wet and windy par-60-course to shoot a team score of 390 — good enough for first place. Baker the only other full team, took second with a 391. “It was a big confidence booster,” La Grande head coach Kelli Miller said. “The scores might have been up, but the girls can still take a lot from today. We had a chance to match-up against Mac-Hi. We looked pretty good.” Keri Urbanski took first with a round of 91. Nicole Webster bounced back from an off day at Ontario to card a 97, and took second. La Grande will host its invite at the La Grande Country Club at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
