Josh Gambill was able to put DeSales away in the bottom of the 10th to earn the win.
He pitched six innings of relief, striking out three and allowing two hits.
Trenton Powers took a no decision, going four innings, allowing three hits and walking four.
La Grande jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the third innings when Powers scored.
Desales managed to score one run in the fourth inning on an RBI single by Kyler Pommerening.
The score remained tied until Rogers’ hit in the 10th.
Rogers finished 2-for-4 at the plate, while Chamberlain, Kaleb White, Garrett Avila and Eli Wisdom all had one hit.
DeSales finished with five hits and committed three errors.
No DeSales player had multiple hits, but Pommerening, Cameron Richman, Adam Eskil, Logan Hoeft and Reilly Roach all had one hit each.
The victory snaps a three-game losing streak the Tigers were on.
La Grande is now 7-7 overall this season. Its scheduled game against Baker today at Optimist Field has been rained out.
LHS will host Grant Union for a single game on Saturday at 1 p.m., weather permitting. The 2A Prospectors are 9-2.
