La Grande defends home turf against visiting Pendleton
Kylin Collman exploded in the fourth quarter to help La Grande defeat Pendleton Tuesday.
The Tigers girls basketball team corralled the Buckaroos 57-50, led by Collman’s 17 points. She scored 13 of her points in the final quarter, helping La Grande outscore Pendleton 23-10 over the final eight minutes of play. Collman connected on three 3-point field goals, and one turned into a 4-point play when she made a free throw after getting fouled.
Avery Albrecht and Lexus Miller-Moylan each scored 13 points.
La Grande made 7-of-11 free throw attempts in the fourth quarter to help seal the win.
The Tigers outrebounded the taller Pendelton team 31-28.
La Grande will travel to Fruitland, Idaho, Friday for a 6 p.m. game.
