Tigers win number seven

La Grande kept its early season success going Friday.

The Tigers boys basketball team won its sixth straight game, defeating Fruitland, Idaho, 67-47.

Brandon Dall finished with a game-high 18 points, and La Grande used a strong second quarter to grab a 34-25 halftime lead.

Troy Williams added 10 points, while Kurt Boyd scored nine points off the bench.

Fruitland stayed close, but the Tigers pulled away for good in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Grizzlies 20-6 in the final quarter.

La Grande (7-2) will have a little bit of a layoff until its next game. The Tigers will play Vale Jan. 18 on the road.
