Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held by the Wallowa County Planning Commission on Tuesday, February 27th at 7:00 p.m. in the Courtroom of the Wallowa County Courthouse. The agenda for this meeting will include the following items:

Buska SUBD#06-01 Findings – Proposal to create 7 lots ranging in size from 8,330 square feet up to 13.84 acres in the Resort Commercial Recreation (RCR) and Resort Park (RP) zones. The minimum parcel size in the RCR zone is 7,500 Square feet. Creation of new lots or parcels in the RP zone is not intended and thus no further subdivision of lots or parcels is allowed. The property in question is described as Township 3 South, Range 45, Sections 21 & 28b, Tax Lot 100 and is accessed via Mt. Howard Road.

Ricker ZC#07-01 – Proposal to rezone a parcel of land consisting of approximately 36.30 acres in the Exclusive Farm Use zone (EFU) to the Rural Residential (R-1) zone. The parcel in question is described as Township 2 South, Range 44, Section 3, Tax lot 101. The minimum parcel size in the EFU zone is 160 acres and the minimum parcel size in the R-1 zone is 5 acres.

The March Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for March 27, 2007.

The before mentioned matter will be reviewed for conformance to the Wallowa County Comprehensive Land Use Plan and the Wallowa County Land Development Ordinances Articles and any other applicable goal, regulation or ordinance of Wallowa County or the State of Oregon. All applications and draft staff reports may be reviewed in the Planning Department. Written comments must be received by the Wallowa County Planning Department -101 S. River St. Room B-1, Enterprise, OR 97828 - by 5 p.m. on Monday, February 26, 2007. Oral comments may be given at the time of the hearing which is open to the public. The City of La Grande Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing at its Regular Session on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, which begins at 6:00 p.m. in the La Grande City Hall Council Chambers, 1000 Adams Avenue, La Grande, Oregon, to consider annexing property situated on Island Avenue into the City Limits.

The subject property is located in the R-2 Medium Density Residential Zone and GC General Commercial Zone, located on a parcel described as being in T3S, R38E, Section 4AB, Portion of Tax Lot 100, and T2S, R38E, Section 33, Portion of Tax Lot 5200, La Grande, Union County, Oregon. The applicant is Mike Becker.

The applicable land use regulations are found in City of La Grande Ordinance Number 2978, Series 2001. Failure to raise a specific issue at the Public Hearing precludes appeal to the La Grande City Council. A copy of the application and all information related to the proposal is available for review at no cost, with copies supplied at a reasonable cost. A Staff Report will be available for review seven (7) days before the Planning Commission Hearing and can also be supplied at a reasonable cost.
