The Forest Service, Wallowa-Whitman National Forest, La Grande Ranger District, has made a decision to perform overstory removal or commercially thin 42 acres of lodgepole pine stands along Forest Road 5155 to manage overstocked conditions. This activity falls within a category of actions listed in the Forest Service NEPA Handbook (FSH) that are excluded from documentation in an Environmental Assessment (EA) or Environmental Impact Statement (EIS). There are no extraordinary circumstances that would preclude use of category 12 (FSH 1909.15, Chapter 31.2). The activity is located in T5S, R35E, Sections 7, 20, 21, 28, 29, and T6S, R35 1/2E, Section 3. 2007 - SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT

The City of La Grande invites competitive bids for installation of cured-in-place pipe. The project will consist of installing approximately 2,457 L.F. of cured-in-place pipe and reinstatement of service lines in various areas in La Grande. Services extending into the pipe shall be removed prior to relining the sewer main. A video of the lines is available on request. This project will be subject to ORS 279.348 (Prevailing Wage Rates).

Sealed bids for the described projects will be received by Norman Paullus, or his designee at the City of La Grande Public Works Department, Engineering Division, 800 ‘X' Avenue, La Grande, Oregon, until 2:00 p.m. local time, on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, and then publicly opened and read aloud the same day, at 2:05 p.m. The contract time for all work shall be 30 calendar days.

The City of La Grande may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed requirements listed in the Contract Documents, and may reject for good cause any and all bids upon finding that it is in the public interest to do so.
