A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Union Rural Fire Protection, Union, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2007 to June 30, 2008, will be held at 570 E. Beckman St. Fire Hall, Union, Oregon. The meeting will take place on the April 11, 2007 at 7:00 P.M. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after April 9, 2007 at 66926 Miller Lane, between the hours of 5:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.

This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.

The Boy Scouts of America intends to solicit help from the Oregon Army National Guard under an Innovative Readiness Construction Assistance Program. The project assistance will be for construction assistance to The Boy Scout Camp at the head of Wallowa Lake. No local funds are available to complete this project without the National Guard's assistance. Local contractors, labor organizations or private individuals who have questions or who wish to voice opposition of the National Guard's assistance regarding this project may contact Tanna Bales at 1-541-963-2858 no later than April 15, 2007. Persons not filing comments within the timeframe noted will be considered to have waived their objections to the participation of the Oregon Army National Guard in this project.
