NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Union County Planning Commission, meeting in special session, Monday, May 21, 2007, 7:00 p.m., Daniel Chaplin Building Conference Room, 1001 4th Street, La Grande, will consider a Conditional Use application submitted by Ken Holman to create a 22 acre nonfarm parcel for a water bottling operation from property located north of the City of North Powder and described as Twp. 6S, Range 39 EWM, Tax Lots 2300 & 2400, about 290.72 total acres, in an A-1 Exclusive Farm Use Zone.

The applicable Land Use Regulations are found in Section 20.14 of the Union County Zoning, Partition & Subdivision Ordinance. Failure to raise a specific issue with sufficient specificity at the local level precludes appeal to LUBA based on that issue. The application and all information related to the proposal are available for review at not cost and copies can be supplied at a reasonable cost. A staff report will be available for review seven days before the hearing, and can be supplied at a reasonable cost. Notice is hereby given of a public hearing to be held by the Wallowa County Planning Commission on Tuesday, May 29th at 7:00 p.m. in the Courtroom of the Wallowa County Courthouse. The agenda for this meeting will include, but is not limited to, the following items:

S&V Properties ZC#07-02 - Proposal to Change the zoning on Tax lots 1000, 1400, 1402, and 1403 in Township 2 South, Range 45, Section 30, Tax lots 1000 and 1001 in Township 2 South, Range 44, Section 25, and Tax lot 1700 in Township 2 South, Range 45, Section 31 from Industrial (M-1) to Recreational Residential (R-2) and to amend the Wallowa County Comprehensive Land Use Plan maps to change the zoning classification from M-1 to R-2.

The June Planning Commission meeting is scheduled for June 26, 2007.

This matter will be reviewed for conformance to the WCCLUP and the WCLDO and any other applicable goal, regulation or ordinance of Wallowa County or the State of Oregon. All applications and draft staff reports may be reviewed in the Planning Department Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 5:00pm. Written comments must be received by the Wallowa County Planning Department - 101 S. River St. Room B-1, Enterprise, OR 97828 - by 5 p.m. on Monday, May 28, 2007. Oral comments may be given at the time of the hearing which is open to the public. Those interested in attending are encouraged to do so.
