The Eastern Oregon University mens basketball team is looking for a lot of improvement in both shooting and ball handling when Whitman College comes calling tonight.

The game starts at 7:30 p.m. in Quinn Coliseum.

The Mountaineers are 1-0 after an opening-season 69-65 win over Walla Walla College Nov. 18. But EOU shot only 33 percent from the floor (21-of-63) and turned the ball over 25 times.

The visiting Missionaries are 1-1, having played only in a tournament at Washington University in St. Louis. Whitman defeated Trinity (Texas) 81-80 and lost to Washington University 77-60.

EOU was led by Scott Collins with 18 points, and Brad Williams (15 points) in its only game to date. The Mountaineers did come away with 13 steals in that game.
