EASTERN WINS FIFTH IN A ROW

LAS VEGAS Brooke Sellards and the Eastern Oregon Mountaineers womens basketball team have won five in a row.

St. Francis University of Joliet, Ill., was the latest victim, a 62-51 loser at the Mountaineers hands Thursday afternoon in the Las Vegas Shoot Out. Sellards, a starting forward, scored 27 points and pulled down 14 rebounds.

Eastern (5-1) trailed 27-21 at halftime after shooting just 36 percent from the field in the first half.

Laney Pellegrini led St. Francis (6-4) with 23 points.

Senior center Julie Coffin added 10 points for Eastern, which plays Iowa Wesleyan this afternoon in the final game of the tournament.
