PV crushes Huntington

HUNTINGTON Powder Valley scored twice as many points in the first quarter than Huntington scored in the entire game Friday.

It was that kind of night for the Badgers as they beat the hosting Locomotives 87-14 at the Huntington Tournament.

Powder outscored Huntington 33-4 in the opening frame.

Theyve got a lot of foreign-exchange students that play, and struggle with their skills, Powder Valley coach Allen Bingham said.

Joelle Bain was one of four Badgers to score in double digits, leading the way with 18 points. Cali Taylor had 15.

Powder (7-2), which has won seven straight, plays Pine-Eagle today for the championship.
