REDMOND Taking care of business in the fourth quarter has been the key to La Grandes success in its past four games.

Friday night was no different as the Tiger girls basketball team limited its mistakes and beat Ashland 53-50 at the Central Oregon Holiday Tournament.

We executed our zone offense really well (in the fourth quarter) and took care of the ball, La Grande coach Isaac Williams said.

Christie Weaver led the Tigers (6-3) with 19 points, including three 3-pointers. Lauren Sternfeld scored a season-high 14 points.

La Grande will play Redmond for the tournament championship today.
