Christie Weavers performance this season in the Greater Oregon League and at the Class 3A State Tournament garnered her first team all-state basketball honors.

The 5-foot-11 junior helped the La Grande Tigers to a GOL title and third place at the state tournament. She led La Grande averaging 15.4 points, five rebounds and two assists per game.

Weaver led the state tournament with 13 steals while averaging 11.3 points. She grabbed 18 rebounds and blocked five shots.

Teammate Elise Myer, a 5-9 senior, was an honorable mention selection. Myer was second on the team averaging 11.3 points.

At the state tournament, Myer led the Tigers with 11.5 points a game.

On the boys team, Tanner Abel, the co-MVP of the GOL who helped the Tigers win the division, was given an honorable mention.

La Grandes 6-3 post led the Tigers with 15.9 points a game and 8.4 rebounds.

At the state tournament, Abel tallied the third-highest blocked-shots total with eight, and that was in only two games.
