ENTERPRISE A three-way race for a single available spot on the Wallowa County Board of Commissioners is shaping up for the May 21 primary.

Incumbent Darrell McFetridge, whose term expires this year, has filed with the Wallowa County Clerks Office for re-election. Seeking the seat also are Dan DeBoie of Joseph and Ken Wick of Enterprise.

DeBoie has filed and Wick is gathering the needed 40 signatures on a petition.

McFetridge of Enterprise currently serves on the board Wallowa Countys governing body with Ben Boswell and Mike Hayward.

McFetridge, DeBoie and Wick are all Republicans. The candidate garnering the most votes in the primary will be eligible to run for the position in the Nov. 5 general election.

Other filings, said Wallowa County Clerk Charlotte McIver, include two for the board of the newly formed Wallowa Lake Fire District. Michael Yarin and Gwen Thornberg have filed for positions three and four, respectively.

Also, District Attorney Dan Ousley has announced he will seek another term. So far, he is unopposed.
