NORTH POWDER — Weber State women's basketball coach Carla Taylor, a former Powder Valley High School standout, will hold a basketball camp for girls in grades five-12 next week.

Taylor coached Weber State this past season to its best record, 22-8, since 1982-83, when she was co-captain and scored 12.6 points per game as a starting guard.

Weber State shared the Big Sky Conference title with Montana State.

Taylor is the second-winningest active coach in the Big Sky. During her 14-year tenure at Weber State, she has compiled a 112-102 conference record and a 179-207 overall record.

The camp will be Monday through Wednesday at the Powder Valley High School gym. Participants can preregister by calling Jane Wisdom at 898-2531 or at the door from 8 to 9 a.m. Monday. The cost is $75 per camper.

The camp will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday and Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
