BAKER CITY — The Union County Nationals played in today's semifinals at the District 3 Babe Ruth 13-year-olds baseball tournament at Leo Adler Field.

Union County met the Snake River Valley Nationals at 10 a.m. in one of two semifinals today.

The Baker Nationals play Harney-Grant at 2 p.m. in the other semifinal.

The winners will play at 7 tonight in the championship game.

Union County went 2-2 in the round-robin portion of the tournament. The Nationals opened the tournament with a 23-2 win over the Baker Americans on Saturday, but lost to the Baker Nationals 8-6 on Sunday.

On Monday, the Nationals lost 18-6 to the Snake River Valley Nationals, but they recovered for a 12-5 victory Tuesday over Wallowa Valley.

Wallowa Valley went 2-2 at the tournament and lost a spot in the semifinals with the loss to the Union County Nationals.

Wallowa Valley beat Harney-Grant 7-3 on Sunday, then beat the Baker Americans 19-7 on Monday. Wallowa Valley also lost 10-0 to the Snake River Valley Nationals on Saturday.

The Union County Americans went 0-4 at the tournament. They lost 31-0 to the Baker Nationals on Saturday, 18-15 to the Baker Americans on Sunday, 27-10 to the Snake River Valley Americans on Monday and 23-8 to Harney-Grant on Tuesday.
