EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR HONORS GO TO DAVIDSON

Krystie Davidson, regional general manager for Buggsi Hospitality, has been named Employee of the Year by the Oregon Lodging Association's 2002 Convention and Trade Show in October.

The award is given for professional, exceptional service and performance above and beyond normal job responsibilities, the association reported in a news release.

Davidson has been with Buggsi Hospitality for 13 years and has been regional general manager of the Best Western Rama Inn and Suites in La Grande for the past six months.

The association selects the employee through nominations of candidates who exemplify the best of customer service, customer relations, industry participation and management of the hotel each year.

Davidson started her employment with Buggsi Hospitality in 1990 as a room attendant at the then newly opened Super 8 Motel in La Grande. She was promoted to regional manager in 2002 and is now responsible for the hotel operations at six hotels managed by Buggsi.

The association is a statewide organization representing about 1,200 hotels, motels, resorts, bed and breakfast homes, recreational vehicle parks and lodging-related businesses.

Buggsi Patel, president and CEO of Buggsi Hospitality Group, has been re-elected to the board of directors of the Oregon Lodging Association.
