CALDWELL, Idaho — The Mountaineers' Jayne-Leigh Thomas pitched a five-hit shutout Thursday to propel the Eastern Oregon women into the post-season.

Eastern (8-6 in Cascade Collegiate Conference, 20-13 overall) guaranteed a playoff berth with a 2-0 win over Albertson. Albertson came back and won the nightcap 6-1.

Thomas joined fellow pitcher Kathy Bielemeier as a double-digit winner Thursday, picking up her 10th win of the year. Beth Hull knocked in the Mountaineers' first run and Heather Tandberg had an RBI double in the sixth. Casi Reisenauer had two hits.

In game 2, the Yotes' Nicole Glenn threw a three-hitter at Eastern. Hull, Tandberg and Adrienne Fullmer all had doubles for Eastern, with Tandberg picking up the team's lone RBI.
