EO'S HARRISON, JONES WIN IN SEATTLE TRACK INVITATIONAL

SEATTLE — Eastern assistant track coach Dee Harrison won the shot put at the Ken Forman Invitational Saturday at the University of Washington.

Eastern distance runner Kelsey Jones won the women's 5,000-meter run with a time of 17:45.37. Lindsey Ulrich was third with an 18:13.24.

The Eastern 4 x 800 men's relay team (Brian Crowl, Dave Terry, Jesse Petersen, Pat Egelus) won in 7:54.29.

Jacob Haas set a personal best in the 5,000-meter run with a 15:12.98, a provisional time for nationals.

Dirk Bortz set a personal best in the hammer throw at 159 feet, 4 inches, a provisional distance for nationals.

Harrison won the shot put with a 52-01/2. He also was fourth in the hammer throw with a throw of 175-1.
