A 15-year-old Imbler High School student is headed to his first high school nationals rodeo in Farmington, N.M., next month.

Cody Campbell ended the season with 101 points after his ride on "Jodi's Pet" in Saturday's short go of the Oregon State High School Rodeo Championships in Klamath Falls.

Taylor Helton was two points behind Campbell. If Campbell had got bucked off Saturday in Klamath Falls, there would have been a tie.

Campbell said the bull bucked and turned to the right at the end a little.

Campbell is a member of the Northwest Professional Rodeo.

He said he has an arena at home to practice. Campbell said he rides 10 bulls a week. He has seven bulls.

Campbell was fourth in bull riding at a rodeo in Weiser, Idaho, and second in bull riding at a rodeo in Lind, Wash. this season.
