LA GRANDE GRAD TIM BAKER NAMED FOOTBALL COACH AT MOLLALA HIGH SCHOOL

Tim Baker, a La Grande High School 1985 graduate, was chosen head football coach at Mollala High School this week.

Baker was an All-Intermountain Conference offensive tackle for La Grande. He was a sports assistant for The Observer while he was in high school.

He graduated from the University of Oregon. He played for the Ducks football team for one year before a chronic knee injury halted his playing career.

He received his masters degree from Western Oregon University.

Baker was an assistant football coach at Mollala for four years. He is a special education teacher at Mollala.
