HEPPNER — Enterprise lost four starters to injuries on a road game against Heppner Friday night, and lost 52-12.

Enterprise's Eric Gilliland scored two touchdowns.

Coach Randy Morgan said the injuries weren't serious, but after Enterprise fell well behind, he didn't think it would be wise for the hurt players to play.

"When we get past our starting lineup, we're putting in freshmen," Morgan said.

Morgan said his team played hard all game. "They never gave up. I'm proud of 'em. Heppner's a very good team."

Craig Swart led Enterprise, gaining 53 yards on 10 carries, while Gilliland gained 30 yards on five carries and caught two passes for 13 more.

Jake VanderZanden ran 31 yards on nine carries and caught two passes for 14 yards.

Tony Swart threw for 29 yards while Andy Wallace threw for 14 yards. Clay Freels caught three passes for 16 yards.

In all, Enterprise gained 115 yards on the ground, and 43 through the air.

Enterprise hosts Mac-Hi at 7 p.m. Friday.
