WALLOWA — The Enter-prise volleyball team swept Wallowa 25-21, 25-11, 25-17 in a non-league season opener Friday.

"I really felt they rose up to the hitting of Wallowa," Enterprise coach Tammy Crawford said. "Our defense got better and better as the game progressed."

Wallowa coach Terri Wilson said she was proud of how her girls never quit and worked hard and kept a positive attitude in the match.

In game two, Enterprise was "really clicking," Crawford said.

Enterprise jumped out to a 13-5 lead in game two and increased it to 19-9 on Kallie Hadden's kill.

Again in game three, Enterprise grabbed an early 11-4 lead.

Crawford said Enterprise did not give whenever Wallowa made a run.

The Cougars closed to within 18-14 late in game three. However, Enterprise responded, keeping Wallowa at arm's length the way.

Enterprise missed four serves and recorded six aces in the match.

"Kallie (Hadden) had a fabulous night," Crawford said. "She was hitting from the front row and the back row."

Crawford said Jessie Morgan did a good job setting and Stefanie McCready also did a good job.

Crawford said even the girls coming off the bench also played well.

She said the team was "pretty balanced."

Enterprise plays at the Riverside Tournament, while Wallowa will play at the Weston Tournament today.
