For the third time this season, Albertson beat the Eastern Oregon women's soccer team by one goal.

The Mountaineers lost a tough 1-0 Cascade College Conference-North Division game to the 'Yotes Tuesday.

The ‘Yotes defeated the Mountaineers 2-1 Aug. 30 and 3-2 Sept. 13.

Mountaineer goalie Anna Bacon had a strong game, coach Colleen Fagan said.

Bacon did not have any saves in the first half, but she had eight saves in the second half.

Fagan said Kristen Rice got great shots and Shannon Rasmussen had dangerous crosses.

Rice had six of the Mountaineers' 14 shots.

The 'Yotes Allison Rupert assisted on Adria Carley's goal in the 66th minute.

Fagan said the Moun-taineers' transition to offense was slow.

She said the Mountaineers needed to play with more urgency in the second half.

"When we're down, I like to see their game kick to the next notch," she said.

In the second half, the 'Yotes outshot the Mountaineers 17-8.

The Mountaineers were unable to take advantage of five corner kicks.

'Yotes goalie Danielle Dorsch had seven saves. Two were in the first half.

The Mountaineers (0-10-1 overall, 0-5-1 CCC-North) play at Warner Pacific in Portland Friday.
