ELGIN — The Enterprise girls won their third straight game with a 47-34 victory over Elgin in a Wapiti League basketball make-up game Tuesday.

Enterprise and Nyssa are tied for fourth place in league with 5-5 records.

Enterprise coach Mike Crawford said the team is playing better basketball right now.

The teams in front of Enterprise in the standings matter now, he said.

He thinks the team has a good shot of making the district tournament with two wins and two losses.

Enterprise's Jessie Morgan had 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Chelcee Noland had 10 points and six rebounds.

Elgin coach Randy McKone said freshmen Alli Burgess, Kit McClure and Kelsey Davis came off the bench and played great.

He said Josie Cross and Hailey Wiles had good games.

Cross led the Huskies with six points. Davis, Burgess and Delia Darrow all had five points.

"Overall, we didn't play good basketball tonight," McKone said. "We looked tired, really slow."

Enterprise (11-7 overall) hosts Grant Union, while Elgin (2-8 in league, 6-9 overall) plays in Halfway against Pine-Eagle Friday.
