The 10th Annual Northwest All Martial Arts Challenge kicks off Saturday at La Grande High School.

Around 400 competitors from Oregon, Washington, Montana and Idaho will compete in the tourney.

Three local schools will be in the mix: Grande Ronde Karate and Kung Fu School, Dark 9 and Severson's Kenpo.

Josh Weems of Grande Ronde Karate is second in the world.

There will be round robin matches in all kumite divisions. Each competitor is guaranteed three matches.

Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. An officials and rules meeting is at 8:30 a.m.

Forms divisions begin at 9 a.m. with black belts first.

Tag team sparring is at 11:30 a.m. Individual sparring is at noon. Continuous sparring starts at 5 p.m.
