Despite getting 21 points from Heidi Horboiski and 19 points from Jamie Jo Cant, the Mountaineer's bid for a come-from-behind win at Oregon Tech fell short, falling 69-67.

The Owl's Kelsi Haylett hit a three-pointer with 45 second remaining to secure the upset win over the Mountaineers. Eastern had a chance to tie, but Cant's attempt at the game-tying trey missed the mark with 30 second remaining.

The loss ends the Mountaineer's current seven-game win streak, and a streak of 23-straight Cascade Conference games.

The difference in the game came down to three-point shooting. Oregon Tech, the Conference's leading three-point shooting team, drilled 9-of-25 attempts from behind the arc versus 5-19 for the Mountaineers.

Horobioski ended the evening with her third double-double of the season, tacking on 12 rebounds with her game-high 21 points. Cant was high on the team with seven assists.

Oregon Tech used 13 three-pointers and 57 percent shooting in a dominant 92-50 win over Eastern Oregon University.

EOU was led by the 13 points and 8 rebounds of Chad Fairbanks. No other Mountaineer scored in double-figures.

Both teams return home Friday for a doubleheader against Northwest College.
