Public notices for the day of April 6, 2011 NOTICE OF BUDGET
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Blue Mountain Translator District, Baker and Union counties, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2012 will be held in the Large Conference Room of the ODOT Building, 3012 Island Avenue, La Grande, Oregon. The meeting will take place on the 12th day of April 2011 at 7:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget. A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after April 13th, 2011 at the Union County Clerk’s Office, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee.

Union County is accepting proposals to lease approximately 3700 acres for grazing of cattle only. Grazing season will run from June 1 to October 15. Term of lease is 5 years with annual review. A maximum of 424 AUMs are allowed for a season with a minimum of $10 per AUM. All proposals must be submitted to the County Commissioners office, 1106 K Avenue, La Grande by the deadline of 5:00 p.m. Monday the 18th of April 2011. The City of La Grande invites competitive quotes for SIDEWALK BEAUTIFICATION PROJECT Adjacent to the 1100 Block of the Washington Avenue Parking Lot. The project will be to furnish all materials, labor and equipment to construct and complete all necessary items for construction of sidewalk, decorative concrete, curb, driveway approaches, installation of a water service, light pole bases, electrical meter base, conduit, ADA compliant Handicap Parking and landscaping as show in the plans and specifications.
Sealed quotes for the described project will be received by Charlie Mitchell, or his designee at the City of La Grande Community Development Department, 1000 Adams Avenue, La Grande, Oregon until 2:00 p.m. local time, on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, and then publicly opened and read aloud the same day, at 2:05 p.m. at the Community Development Department.
The City of La Grande may reject any quote not in compliance with all prescribed requirements listed in the Contract Documents, and may reject for good cause any and all quotes upon finding that it is in the public interest to do so.
Copies of the Contract documents may be obtained at the City of La Grande, Community Development Department at 1000 Adams Avenue, or by phoning (541) 962-1307. The contractor shall provide a mailing address, phone and fax numbers when documents are requested.
