MOTORIZED & NON-MOTORIZED ADVISORY COMMITTEES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, the Union County Mt. Emily Recreation Area Non-Motorized Advisory Committee will hold a meeting on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at 7:00 p.m., Joseph Building Annex, Large Conference Room, 1106 K Avenue, La Grande, Oregon. The Motorized Advisory Committee will meet on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. in the same room. The public is invited to attend and may participate during a designated public comment agenda item.

NOTICE of CITY COUNCIL ORDINANCE CONSIDERATION
Pursuant to Section 34. of the City Charter of the City of La Grande Oregon, the following entitled Ordinances are scheduled to be read for the first time by title only during the Council’s Regular Session on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 1000 Adams Avenue,
La Grande, Oregon. This Session will begin at 6:00 p.m.; no Council vote will be taken at this time.
“AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA GRANDE, OREGON, REPEALING EXISTING ORDINANCES ESTABLISHING ADVISORY COMMISSIONS; SPECIFICALLY, ORDINANCE NUMBERS 2927, 2928, 2932, 2934, 2938, SEaRIES 1998; ORDINANCE NUMBER 2953, SERIES 2000; ORDINANCE NUMBERS 1996 AND 3005, SERIES 202; ORDINANCE NUMBER 3030, SERIES 2004; ORDINANCE NUMBER 3055, SERIES 2077; ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PART OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.”
“AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LA GRANDE, OREGON. ESTABLISHING THE PROCESS OF CREATING VARIOUS ADVISORY COMMISSIONS BY RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL; REPEALING ALL OTHER ORDINANCE OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.”
Council adoption of these proposed Ordinances is intended to streamline the process for the establishment and administrative management of Advisory Commissions created by the City Council. All existing Commissions will remain in effect at this time, with the exception of the Substance Abuse Advisory Commission.
All Sessions of the La Grande City Council are accessible to persons with disabilities, and special accommodations will be made for those with visual and/or hearing impairments.
