ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS City of Union, Oregon 342 South Main / P.O. Box 529 Union, Oregon 97883 The City of Union, Oregon, invites bids for the construction of East Arch Street Water Line Improvements - Phase II - 2011. The work shall include the installation of approximately 1,300 lineal feet of 16-inch water line, approximately 170 lineal feet of 6-inch water line, fire hydrants, valves, water service line and meter replacement, surface restoration, and other related work. Sealed bids for the described project will be received by Sandra Patterson, or her authorized representative, of the City of Union at Union City Hall, 342 South Main / P.O. Box 529, Union, Oregon 97883, until 2:00 p.m., local time, September 1, 2011. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the same location, time, and date that bids are due. The time for substantial completion shall be forty-five (45) calendar days. The Contract is subject to the applicable provisions of ORS 279C.800 through ORS 279C.870, the Oregon Prevailing Wage Law. Fir Street, P.O. Box 1107, La Grande, Oregon 97850, upon non-refundable payment of $75.00 per paper set. Alternatively, the Contractor may request a paper copy of the Bidder's Packet and a CD containing a printable pdf version of the Contract Documents and Drawings for $25.00. Only a Bidder's Packet obtained from the Engineer shall be used for bidding purposes. The Contractor shall provide his/her mailing address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address when Contract Documents are requested. The Contractor shall also identify him/herself as a prime contractor, subcontractor, supplier, etc., as applicable. The Contract Documents will be available after August 18, 2011.
