Gerald R. ‘Jerry’ Brown Formerly of Enterprise, La Grande 1914-2012
He was born Feb. 9, 1914, to Jim and Jessie Brown in Lewellen, Neb. He had four siblings. After meeting and marrying Lucille Brown, he embarked on a career as a dairyman and award-winning butter maker. In 1947, he moved to Enterprise and founded the Wallowa Valley Dairy. He attended, and was active in the First Baptist Church. In 1960, he sold his dairy business and moved to La Grande and obtained his real estate license. He then began his second career as a successful real estate agent. In 1980, he moved to Clackamas, where he retired. He is survived by three children, six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Donations may be made to the Kaiser Northwest Hospice.
