Fredrick K. Arnson



Fredrick K. Arnson, 72, of Cove, died April 17 at his home. A full obituary will be available later. Loveland Funeral Chapel &
Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.



Eugena Simmons

La Grande


Eugena Simmons, 41, of La Grande, died April 16 at Grande Ronde Hospital. Daniels-Knopp Funeral Cremation & Life Celebration Center is in charge of the arrangements.



Genevie Wells



Genevie Wells, 87, of Elgin, died April 17 at a local care center. Arrangements will be announced later by Daniels-Knopp Funeral Cremation & Life Celebration Center.


Dwayne M. Hansen




Dwayne Michael Hansen, 33, of Cove, died of an extended illness April 9 at his residence. A celebration his life, including Masonic rites, will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cove Sportsman’s Club. Loveland Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.

Dwayne was born May 23, 1978, in Enterprise to Gary Lynn and Debra Doreen (Conrad) Hansen. He was raised in Cove where he graduated from Cove High School. Dwayne set records in high school basketball and went on to coach basketball at Cove Junior High and for the junior varsity team at Cove High School. He was married to Stacy Jean Marler and they had two children.

Dwayne was a farmer and did custom harvesting for farmers. He was a lifetime member of Masonic Lodge No. 91 in Cove as well as being involved with the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show for 17 years, and the Cove Quick Response and Fire Department since he was 19 years old.

He enjoyed being with his children, as well as hunting, fishing and sports. He was a gamer, especially on the PlayStation.

Dwayne is survived by his two children, Koby Bryan Hansen of Baker City and Alissa Jordan Hansen of Cove; his mother, Debra Hansen of Cove; grandmother, Nate Conrad of Cove; father, Gary Hansen; brother, Darren Matthew Hansen and his wife, Natalie, of Cove; sister, Dena Michelle Hansen of Portland; step-grandfather, Dan Seaman; great-grandfather, Everett Tucker; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter P. Hansen; grandmother, Sallie Hansen Seaman; and grandfather, Don R. Conrad.

Memorial contributions may be made the education fund of Koby and Alissa Hansen at any branch of Banner Bank or to Loveland Funeral Chapel, 1508 Fourth St., La Grande, OR 97850.

Memorial contributions can also be made to the Cove Quick Response Team, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and Shriners
