Letters and comments for May 31, 2012

Stay 5 days per week

To the Editor:

It is my opinion that printing The Observer three days a week is not the answer. Wouldn’t it be better to call it Baker Union Wallowa County Observer and print it five days a week?

It would sure make the businesses and the readers in Baker feel lots better since they only get the paper three days a week. It sure seems to me that it would sell more ads and sell lots more papers instead of lots less.

Isn’t that what business is all about? Making “bigger and better,” in my opinion, lots better.

Don Henry

La Grande

Editor’s note: Thank you for your suggestion, which was an option we considered before deciding to publish three days per week starting Monday.
