Crystal Strobl, killed near Redmond, formerly worked at Enterprise ODFW District

A former Enterprise woman was killed in a motorcycle accident Saturday night two miles west of Redmond.

Crystal Strobl, 35, of Prineville, was eastbound on Highway 126 at 7:20 p.m., according to Sergeant Keith Taylor. She was following two other motorcycles when they began to slow down for a vehicle ahead of them. Strobl didn’t slow quickly enough and hit the rear tire of another motorcycle, fell off her motorcycle onto the pavement and her helmet came off her head.

Redmond Fire and Rescue personnel responded first and pronounced Strobl deceased at the scene.

The highway was closed for more than two hours.

Strobl was a wildlife biologist with Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife with the Prineville District and formerly of the Enterprise District.
