EOU harriers grab fourth in Cascade meet

PORTLAND — The Eastern Oregon Univeristy men’s cross country team took fourth in Saturday’s Cascade Conference title meet at Lents Park.

Southern Oregon University won the conference meet title by scoring just 28 points, while College of Idaho was second with 62 and Concordia took third with 82 points. 

The Mountaineers had 106 points to finish fourth, while Oregon Tech had 129 for fifth place. Northwest Christian was sixth with 148 points, while Corban was seventh (208), beating Warner Pacific (230) and Northwest (238). 

Isaac Updike led the Mountaineers, taking 11th with a time of 25:24.56, while Hans Roelle came in next (16th, 25:40.15) and Kody Coxen (25th, 26:13.28) followed. Zach Seeley and Kody Shriver came in together, with Seeley finishing 28th (26:16.50) and Shriver at 29th (26:18.81). Senior Ryan Booth was 32nd (26:26.34), followed by Carlos Hernandez (34th, 26:33.66), Gus Titus (35th, 26:33.09), Alex Martinez (44th, 27:09.22) and Humberto Bravo (48th, 27:17.94).
