ENTERPRISE — The Enterprise girls basketball team continued to impress this weekend at its home tournament, the Enterprise Winter Classic.

The Outlaws (5-0) defeated Joseph 74-21 Friday before downing Pine Eagle 50-28 for the championship.

Hayly Riggs led EHS with 17 points, five steals and two assists in Friday’s victory.

Elsa Steen had four points and 16 rebounds, while Myranda McFetridge scored 14 points.

McKenna Miller added 11 points and grabbed four rebounds.

It wasn’t as easy against the Spartans Saturday.

The Outlaws led 21-15 at halftime and 29-25 after three quarters.

But Enterprise outscored Pine Eagle 21-3 in the fourth quarter to run away with the win.

“We jumped out of playing straight defense,” coach Mike Crawford said.

“We’re at our best when we’re after it full court.”

Marta Stangel had 12 points and 12 rebounds, while Riggs also scored 12 points.

Steen finished with seven points and eight rebounds.

“We faced a little adversity and had to respond to it,” Crawford said.

The Outlaws will host Pilot Rock (4-0) Friday and travel to play Weston-McEwen (4-0) Saturday.
