EOU women, men learn national tournament seedings

The Eastern Oregon University men's and women's basketball teams learned their opponents and seedings on Wednesday for the NAIA Division II national tournament. The Mountaineer women earned one of the four No. 1 seeds to the dance. EOU (31-2) will take on eighth-seeded Southwestern (Kansas) Thursday at 10 a.m. PST at the Tyson Event Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Southwestern, out of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference, went 23-7 this season.

The Eastern Oregon men earned a No. 8 overall seed and will take on Midland (Nebraska).  The Mountaineers finished the regular season 28-4, while Midland enters the national tournament with a 19-12 mark. The game tips off Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. PST at Keeter Gymnasium in Point Lookout, Mo.
