A grant-ready workshop series is scheduled this spring to help Northeast Oregon nonprofits set up systems to budget, track and evaluate programs and projects for larger and multi-year grant funding.

The lack of funding for nonprofit work is a critical challenge. Many of our rural nonprofits are delivering vital services that aren’t available from other sources.

The grant-ready workshops will provide a “self-help” answer for local nonprofits and will bring nonprofits together to work more collaboratively.

Oregon Rural Action is sponsoring the training as part of the Northeast Oregon Regional Food Collaborative. Organizations working on food system projects will receive priority for registration. Other nonprofit organizations are encouraged to register on a space-available basis.

Each of the four sessions will take place at the La Grande OSU Extension office April 4, April 18, May 2 and May 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Cost for the series is $75 per participant. Each organization should plan to have at least two board or staff members or volunteers attend the series. Lunch will be provided.

A limited number of scholarships are available for organizations working on food system projects. To register, go to http://tinyurl.com/grantreadyworkshop or contact Oregon Rural Action at 541-975-2411.
