Albrecht joins staff at Howard and Associates

Union County resident Kristie Albrecht has earned her Oregon realtor’s license and has joined the staff at John  J. Howard and Associates Real Estate at 1207 Adams Ave. in La Grande.

Albrecht said that going into the real estate business has been a goal of hers for some time.

“It is such an exciting feeling to complete something that has been a longtime dream,’’ she said. “I have always been obsessed with real estate, from front to back. As a mural artist, amateur remodeler and appreciator of architectural design, I have a fascination with creating living spaces that reflect a person’s lifestyle. Working as a broker lends itself well to this.”

Albrecht earned her bachelor’s degree from Oregon State University. In addition to raising her two teenage children, she has worked over the years in various public service capacities, most recently as the office manager at Grande Ronde Med Spa.

She began her employment career as a firefighter and hotshot for the U.S. Forest Service. She also worked as a reserve police officer with the La Grande Police Department. In her free time, Albrecht enjoys outdoor recreation, supporting her kids in their endeavors, and volunteering with the Oregon Special Olympics.

“I feel as though I finally am in a field that I love, and am excited to assist others in fulfilling their real estate needs,’’ Albrecht said.

John Howard said he’s glad to have Albrecht as part of the team.

“Kristie has been a great addition to our office,” Howard said. “She has been actively involved in the community the past 17 years and has a strong sense of the community that buyers and sellers appreciate. She brings with her a great work ethic.”
