Elgin FBLA wins state

Congratulations to the juggernaut that is the Elgin High School FBLA program and adviser Peggy Anthony.

Elgin won first place Chapter of the Year for 2A schools for the 21st consecutive year earlier this month in Portland. A community parade organized by local firefighters, the Elgin Stampede and parents greeted the team as it returned to town.

Students at the state match competed in a variety of judged events. These ran the gamut from business reports and business plans to digital scrapbooks and publicity projects.

FBLA gives students the opportunity to test their business knowledge and skills as they prepare for success in the business world. By all indications, Elgin High School FBLA members are well prepared to hit the ground running when they launch their business careers.
