The Lostine Tavern is holding a yard sale and taco feed Friday and Saturday as part of the Lostine Flea Market festivities.

Proceeds will be used to help prepare the interior of the building for renovations.

During these two days the Tavern welcomes anyone with a coffee cup or old photo to come retrieve it for safekeeping during the renovations. Everyone is invited to browse the contents of the building for treasures, including beer and novelty signs, tables and chairs, appliances, coffee makers and much more.

Tacos and soft drinks will be served during this two-day yard sale for a donation. All proceeds will go to the façade fund. This is a matching fund for a grant to restore the storefront when the building operated as the drugstore known as McKenzie’s Place at the turn of the 20th century.

Partners Peter Ferré and Lynne Curry plan to bring the building back to its historic condition, including exposing the original wood floors and tongue-in-groove ceilings.
