Huskies move to 2-0 with win over Huntington/Harper

ELGIN — The Elgin football team picked up its second win of the season with a 48-12 victory over Huntington/Harper Friday. 

The Huskies racked up 415 total yards of offense in the one-sided victory.

"It was phenomenal," Elgin head coach Brock Eckstein said. "All the hard work we put in this summer is paying off."

Gavin Christenson finished with 110 yards receiving on six catches and a touchdown for Elgin. He also had 78 yards rushing with a touchdown.

Chris Roberts  added 81 yards rushing for the Huskies with a touchdown. Carson Reid took his one carry 52 yards for a touchdown, while Hayden Bershenyi had 48 yards rushing with one score and Curtis Littler had a 48-yard touchdown.

Gage Little threw for 110 yards and a score.

The Huskies (2-0) travel to play Joseph next week at 2 p.m.
