Panther keep district record clean

HALFWAY — The Imbler football team closes out a perfect Special District 4 run with a 62-0 win against Pine Eagle Friday.

 

With the win, the Panthers finished the season 8-1 overall and are still No. 1 in the OSAA rankings.

WALLOWA — Cove closed the football season in style, snapping a two-game Special District 4 losing streak with a 66-12 win against Wallowa Friday.

The Cougars are 0-7 this season, and finished 0-5 in league play. Wallowa’s final chance to get into the win column comes against Elgin next Friday.

The Leopards season ends with an overall record of 3-6, and 3-2 in district play.

NORTH POWDER — The Powder Valley football team locked up the second spot in Special District 4 with an 82-26 win against Joseph Friday.

With the win, the Badgers finished the season a game ahead of Cove in the district standings at 4-1.

Joseph finished 2-3 in district.

The Badgers and the Eagles will both play a non-league contest next Friday. Powder Valley will host Condon/Wheeler, while the Eagles will host Rosalia, Wash. Both kickoffs are set for 7 p.m.
