FRUITLAND, Idaho — Kylin Collman stepped into the starting line-up in a big way for the La Grande girls basketball team in place of Lexus Miller-Moylan Friday.

The sophomore led the way to a 48-28 nonconference win over Fruitland, Idaho, Friday.

Collman scored the first 13 points for the Tigers, connecting on her first three 3-point attempts, and the Tigers jumped out to a 23-13 lead four minutes into the game. She finished with a team-high 20 points.

Miller-Moylan tweaked her neck just before the game, and was not available for the game.

“We moved the ball really well,” La Grande head coach Doug Girdner said. “We wore a little thin in the fourth quarter. But, we’re growing.”

La Grande jumped ahead 27-11 at the half.

Avery Albrecht had a solid all-around game, finishing with 11 rebounds, eight points, seven steals and six assists. Lacey Miles and Auslin McDaniel-Perrin each added six points in the win.

La Grande (6-3 overall) travels to Nyssa for a 6 p.m. game Tuesday.
