Officers of the Union-Wallowa Drug Task Force served a search warrant on the Eastern Oregon University campus early Friday morning.

Officers arrested Grant F. Parker, 22, Summerville, at the KEOL radio station on charges of possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), unlawful possession of oxycodone and unlawful delivery of oxycodone.

The arrest was carried out without incident, according to a press release from the Union County Sheriff's Office.

Capt. Craig Ward of the sheriff's office said the university officials and campus security are aware of the situation and cooperating with law enforcement.

The Union-Wallowa DTF includes officers and deputies from the sheriff's office, the La Grande Police Department, the Wallowa County Sheriff's Office and the Enterprise Police Department. It is also assisted by the Oregon State Police and district attorney offices in both counties.

Update: The Union County Sheriff's Office has confirmed that Parker is not an EOU student or staff member.
