Union County Sheriff

Arrested: Cody Trace Hamlin, 23, La Grande, was arrested on a parole and probation detainer Sunday. 

Arrested: Jared Thomas Harris, 21, La Grande, was arrested Sunday on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and unlawful possession of marijuana.

Cougar sighting: A cougar was reported in Aspen Drive area early Sunday evening. 

Accident: Nobody was injured in an traffic accident on Island Avenue at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday. 

Arrested: William Randolph Lepley, 46, unknown address, was arrested by the Idaho State Police Sunday. Lepley was arrested on a Union County warrant for allegedly failing to appear in court. The warrant was connected to original charges of first-degree burglary, second-degree theft and second-degree criminal mischief.  

Arrested: Brook Jenny Jenkins, 34, unknown address, was arrested Friday on a Union County warrant charging probation violation connected to original charges of first-degree theft and perjury.

Arrested: Marie Jane Sorsdahl, 44, unknown address, was arrested Friday on a Clark County, Washington, warrant charging a probation violation connected to an original charge of forgery.

 

La Grande Police Department

Arrested; Valerie Elizabeth Sheline, 22, unknown address, was arrested on a parole and probation detainer Sunday.

Arrested: Thomas Edward Sampson Jr., 32, unknown address, was arrested on a Union County warrant Friday. The warrant was for a charge of order show cause/felon in possession of a firearm.


Oregon State Police

Kirk Ray Pickens, 46, unknown address, was arrested Friday on a Union County warrant for allegedly failing to appear in court. The warrant was connected to original charges of manufacturing a controlled substance,  marijuana; manufacturing a controlled substance, marijuana, within 1,000 feet of a school; possession of a controlled substance, marijuana; possession of a controlled substance, meth,  and endangering the welfare of a minor, two counts. 


La Grande Fire Department

La Grande Fire and Ambulance crews responded to seven calls for medical assistance between 7:30 a.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m Saturday. La Grande Fire and Ambulance crews responded to three calls for medical assistance between 7:30 a.m. Saturday  and 7:30 a.m. Sunday. La Grande Fire and Ambulance crews responded to  four calls for medical assistance between 7:30 a.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. this morning.
