A hearing regarding the long running dispute involving an Island City trucking company owned by Jon Fregulia, Oregon Trail Transport, was delayed Monday night.

The Island City City Council granted a continuance for the hearing. The new date for the hearing, which was to have taken place Monday, is Oct. 13.

The continuance, essentially a postponement, had been requested by Fregulia’s attorney, Andrew Martin, because he wants more time to get information regarding the case.

The granting of the  continuance is the latest chapter in the case of the Fregulia trucking company, which was granted a permit to operate in a residential zone with a home occupation permit in December of 2010.
