Lightning ignited three small wildfires fires in Union and Wallowa counties Friday evening.
The fires were all about one tenth of an acre and were put out by Saturday afternoon, according to the Blue Mountain Interagency Dispatch Center. The small blazes caused no property damage and no injuries. The fires, which were in timber, were extinguished by U.S. Forest Service and Oregon Department of Forestry crews.
A third fire was five miles northwest of North Powder and involved grass and timber. It was put out by an ODF crew.
