Concerned Union County residents plan to tell Rep. Greg Walden, R-Oregon, how they feel about health care reform in a unique way — with a message in a bottle.
Cheryl Simpson and her husband, Bill Whitaker, of La Grande, have been collecting pill bottles from people with written messages inside that advocate for the keeping and betterment of U.S. health care programs Medicare and Medicaid. The bottles are to be presented next month to Walden with a letter of protest.
“It’s something unique and different and eye catching,” Simpson said of the campaign.
